US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib was discovered to be part of a private Facebook group that has glorified Hamas multiple times prior to and after the October massacre. The Michigan congresswoman has been a member of the Palestinian American Congress group for six years, as per reports by Fox News and the New York Post. Screenshots of the secret Facebook page obtained by Fox News show Tlaib’s personal account among its members.
The Facebook group cannot be found on the social media platform’s search engine and is inaccessible to non-members, as reported by both Fox News and the New York Post. The group has also been reported to mock the hostages taken by the terrorist group. Maher Abdel-Qader, the group’s founder, has made antisemitic statements in the group and has extensive ties to Tlaib, as reported by Fox News.
Tlaib had previously been censured by the House of Representatives for her anti-Israel statements, including sharing a video on X (formerly known as Twitter) with the phrase “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”
Other screenshots obtained by Fox News showed posts in the private Facebook group glorifying Hamas, including one with a Hamas terrorist holding an Israeli elderly woman captive, and another praising Hamas’s “achievements” accompanied by a photo of a Hamas terrorist.
One post in the group had a user making a controversial statement about Hamas and refugees.
This information has drawn attention to Tlaib’s ties to groups and individuals with extremist views.
