The skit “Rape is NOT resistance” produced by Israeli production house Roms Studio presents the double standard in the world’s approach to rape victims of the October 7 massacre. The scene depicts a woman walking into a police station, reporting that she was raped. Immediately, several women approach her, offer support, and ask her to tell them what happened. However, when she mentions that the rapist yelled something in Arabic and was a Palestinian Hamas terrorist, the officers and activists refuse to help her, citing that all violence against Israelis is considered legitimate resistance. This skit highlights the discrimination and lack of support faced by Israeli rape victims compared to those outside of Israel. It also brings attention to the brutal sexual assaults committed by Hamas terrorists who infiltrated the country on October 7.
