Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said on Sunday that the defense establishment has noticed a growing trend of “Iran pushing for militia attacks against Israel using its proxies in Iraq, Syria, and Yemen. Even though Yemen and Syrian proxies of the Islamic Republic have attacked Israel several times since Operation Swords of Iron began, Iraq has not been on the radar. Most proxy attacks have been against the US. Gallant warned Iran that they are following these trends and will know when to act. He also discussed the multifront war against Israel and noted that Hezbollah has fired on Israel more than 1,000 times since October 7. The defense minister stated that Hezbollah has been punished by Israel for its actions, but the full extent of the impact has been kept low profile. Hezbollah has claimed to have lost around 80 of its terror members.
