Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv both lost their respective continental clashes on Tuesday. Maccabi Tel Aviv fell 79-74 to Olympiacos, and Hapoel fell 98-89 to Prometey. Maccabi’s Wade Baldwin was unable to play due to a stomach virus as they suffered a 15-point halftime deficit. Although Tamir Blatt and Roman Sorkin brought the team within two points in the second half, Maccabi was unable to secure the win, bringing their Euroleague record to 4-3. Olympiacos’ Alec Peters and Thomas Walkup led the Greek side in scoring, while Blatt scored 13 for Maccabi. Hapoel faced Prometey and despite early leads, the hosts ultimately secured the win. Tai Odiase and Davon Reed led Prometey to victory, while Brazian Angola topped the scorers for Hapoel.
