IDF soldier Staff Sergeant Yehonatan Yitzhak Semo fell in battle in the Gaza Strip. The family decided to donate his organs to save other Israelis. Semo was urgently transferred to Petah Tikva’s Beilinson Hospital but died shortly after. He left behind four younger siblings. The fallen soldier had signed an organ donor card and his sacrifice has had a life-changing impact on six people, who received heart, eye, liver, and kidney transplants. His family believes that nothing is more uplifting than the fact that part of him will continue to live and help others.
