The Knesset has passed a law allowing any licensed doctor to determine disability levels for victims of terrorist attacks. Previously, only approved doctors could make assessments, leading to an overload due to the recent attacks by Hamas. The new law will allow any licensed doctor to conduct assessments for the next two years to ease the burden. Additionally, the law amended the financial aid plan to consider employees placed on furlough without insurance coverage. In other news, Likud MK Nissim Vaturi was sanctioned for referring to Arab MKs as “Hamas collaborators.” As a result, he will be restricted from speaking in plenum and committee meetings.
