The ear-shattering noise in the streets and squares of Israel earlier this year was a message that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was really bad for Israel. However, media maligning makes it difficult to determine how good or bad he really is. The Abraham Accords are downplayed in the press, despite marking a turning point in the region’s history and setting the stage for transformative opportunities. Netanyahu’s force of personality and ability to challenge the United States on issues like Iran are commendable. While he faces charges of bribery and is criticized for his stance on negotiations with the Palestinian Authority, Netanyahu is not being ostracized economically. Despite harsh opposition, his strong leadership and determined personality make him the right person to lead Israel at this time.
